Margaret Atwood , the eternal in myth, enochian keys

TOTEM

Myths can be refashioned to the present and with this I concur. But certain of them have hidden kernels and an eternality about them that spans the ages. Once discovered they have vast ripples in the waters.
March 17, 2009 2:54 AM

Such was my comment on the blog. Myths are the footprints of civilizations with the lost keys that went defunct such as Atlantis , and the loss of the Enochian keys.some have picked up the traces and wrote of them: Plato and Bacon to my memory. Indigneous cultures are perhaps remnants of a powerful collective subconscious as such as once was and faintly reverberates in our time (SIC).
Atwood reinvents myth with an agenda in the present,it so seems, such as in her novella the Penelopiad:
The Penelopiad is a novella by Margaret
Atwood
. It was published in 2005 as part of the
first set of books in the
Canongate Myth Series where
contemporary authors rewrite ancient
myths. In The Penelopiad, Penelope reminisces on the events
during the
Odyssey, life in Hades, Odysseus, Helen, and her relationships with
her parents. A
chorus of the twelve maids, whom
Odysseus believed were disloyal and whom
Telemachus hanged, interrupt
Penelope's narrative to express their view on events. The maids' interludes use
a new genre each time, including a
jump-rope rhyme, a lament, an idyll, a ballad, a lecture, a court trial
and several types of songs.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Penelopiad While admittedly point of view and reminiscence itself on Odyssey events are done to form perspectives and insights on a narrative. The mythos itself is larger than a local set of perspectives or those of any one individual and is transcendent of their perspectives.Myths transfer beyond the present time frame and that is what defines them, gives them an aura of translucency for the human race.

Marie Curie Discoery of the elements Pt II

No discovery occurs in a complete vacuum nor did Marie's. A woman displaying prowess? At that time a rare phenomenon but this was her project without question although grounded on the research of Becquerel who discovered radiation did not depend on external sources but arose apparently spontaneously from uranium. He discovered radioactivity.Marie further researched uranium rays and observed the following:

SOLVAY CONFERENCE We will be mentioning this conference later .Einstein and Curie attended this conference.

  • she investigated samples by clever technique

  • she used the electrometer previously invented by her brother

  • the air around the sample conducted electricity

  • activity of uranium compounds depended on uranium present

  • and resulted not from interaction between molecules but from the atom

  • she conducted systematic studies of 2 Uranium minerals pitchblende and torbernite four times as active as uranium itself and contained some other substance far more active than uranium

  • this idea was originally her own and she established ownership of it.

  • imagine here at this stage that a woman could formulate such a thesis.

She had a key hand in evolving science beyond that point and coming to that original thesis, and played a role in what later sysnthesized more definitely in the role of physics, chemistry and quantum physics in realizing the inconceivable breakdown of the atom to nothingness.

New elements
In 1896 Henri Becquerel
discovered that uranium salts emitted rays that resembled X-rays in their
penetrating power. He demonstrated that this radiation, unlike phosphorescence, did not
depend on an external source of energy but seemed to arise
spontaneously from uranium itself. Becquerel had in fact discovered
radioactivity.
Marie decided to look into uranium rays as a possible field of
research for a thesis. She used a clever technique to investigate samples.
Fifteen years earlier, her husband and his brother had invented the electrometer, a device for
measuring extremely low electrical currents. Using the Curie electrometer, she
discovered that uranium rays caused the air around a sample to conduct
electricity.[16] Her first
result, using this technique, was the finding that the activity of the uranium
compounds depended only on the amount of uranium present. She had shown that the
radiation was not the outcome of some interaction between molecules but must come from
the atom itself. In
scientific terms, this was the most important single piece of work that she
carried out.[17]
Marie's
systematic studies had included two uranium minerals, pitchblende and torbernite.
Her electrometer showed that pitchblende was four times
as active as uranium itself, and chalcolite twice as active. She concluded that,
if her earlier results relating the amount of uranium to its activity were
correct, then these two minerals must contain small amounts of some other
substance far more active than uranium itself.[18]
The
idea [writes Reid] was her own; no one helped her formulate it, and although she
took it to her husband for his opinion she clearly established her ownership of
it.
She later recorded the fact twice in her biography of her husband to ensure
there was no chance whatever of any ambiguity.
It [is] likely that already at
this early stage of her career [she] realized that... many scientists would find
it difficult to believe that a woman could be capable of the original work in
which she was involved.

Venezuelan Healing velacion

This blogger commented on many world miracles and faith healing traditions including the Venezuelan velacion. I answered his questions and comments and put it in word format.

委内瑞拉 Venezuela In this candle ceremony, known as the velación, the patient lies on an oracolo, a drawing of esoteric symbols made on the ground with talcum, surrounded by candles and fruit, and is showered with flower petals meant to impart energy.

The above site lists spiritual healing centers around the world. Differing in rituals, they all do embrace a commonality or commonalities discussed in the posts on shamanic healing in Ecuador and Peru : Balancing of the chakras , connections with upper worlds through the use of images and plants/enteogens such as ayahuasca and those used in Ecuador by the yachak shamans .

Marie Curie another link in the chain of understanding, evolving of the species in total understanding PT I

THE PHYSICIST PAUL LANGEVIN

She did her scientific work here Marie Curie

Understanding and fear are mutually exclusive and cannot coexist concurrently.

Marie Cure Quote:

A common point of light or reference for dispossessed and refugee intellectuals and immigrants from oppression (iimigrants) as a place of nurture was Paris at end of century and early 20th century, the very city of lights. Her father taught mathematics and physics which she was to "obsessively pursue". The deaths of her mother and sister caused her to give up Catholicism and become agnostic. Her family lost their property due to patritoic Polish involvements in the country's uprisings. They had perpetual economic struggles to make ends meet. she assisted her sister Bronislawa per their agreement for recprocity of favors. She took a position with a lawyer's family in Krakow as governess and then for 2 years in Ciechenow with the Zorawskis , relatives of her father.and fell in love with their son Kazimierz-he reciprocated that love and became an eminent mathematician. His family rejected her as a penniless relative, and he broke off with her eventually. unable to oppose his family.Maria lost her position and then worked for the Fuchs family.

We will next continue with her discoveries of the new elements.

Nothing in life is to be feared, it is only to be understood. Now is the
time to understand more, so that we may fear less.

Her achievements include the creation of a theory of radioactivity (a term coined by her[2]), techniques for isolating radioactive isotopes, and the discovery of two new elements, polonium and radium. It was also under her personal direction that the world's first studies were conducted into the treatment of neoplasms ("cancers"), using radioactive isotopes.

While an actively loyal French citizen, she never lost her sense of Polish identity. She named the first new chemical element that she discovered (1898) "polonium" for her native country,[3] and in 1932 she founded a Radium Institute (now the Maria Skłodowska–Curie Institute of Oncology) in her home town Warsaw, headed by her physician-sister Bronisława

Maria Skłodowska was born in Warsaw, Poland, on November 7, 1867, the fifth and youngest child of well-known teachers Bronisława and Władysław Skłodowski. Maria's older siblings were Zofia (born 1862), Józef (1863), Bronisława (1865) and Helena (1866).
Maria's grandfather Józef Skłodowski had been a respected teacher in Lublin, where he had taught the young Bolesław Prus.[4] Her father Władysław Skłodowski taught mathematics and physics, subjects that Maria was to pursue, and was director successively of two Warsaw gymnasia for boys, in addition to lodging boys in the family home. Her mother, Bronisława, operated a prestigious Warsaw girls' boarding school; she suffered from tuberculosis and died when Maria was twelve. Maria's father was an atheist, and her mother a devout Catholic.[5]

Two years earlier, Maria's oldest sibling, Zofia, had died of typhus. The deaths of her mother and sister, according to Robert William Reid, caused Maria to give up Catholicism and become agnostic.[6]
When she was ten years old, Maria began attending the boarding school that her mother had operated while she was well; next Maria attended a female gymnasium, from which she graduated on 12 June 1883. She spent the following year in the countryside at her father's relatives, and next with her father in Warsaw, where she did some tutoring.

On both the paternal and maternal sides, the family had lost their property and fortunes through patriotic involvements in Polish national uprisings. This condemned each subsequent generation, including that of Maria and her elder sisters and brother, to a difficult struggle to get ahead in life.[7]
Maria made an agreement with her sister Bronisława, that she would give her financial assistance during Bronisława's medical studies in Paris, in exchange for similar assistance two years later.[8] In connection with this, she took a position as governess. First with a lawyer's family in Kraków, then for two years in Ciechanów with a landed family, the Żorawskis, relatives of her father. While working for the latter family, she fell in love with their son Kazimierz Żorawski, which the future eminent mathematician reciprocated. His parents, however, rejected the idea of his marrying the penniless relative, and Kazimierz was unable to oppose them. Maria lost her governess' position.[9] She found another with the Fuchs family in Sopot, on the Baltic Sea coast, where she spent the next year, all the while financially assisting her sister.

Krakowskie Przedmieście 66, near Warsaw's Old Town (in the distance). As noted on the plaque, it was here, in 1890–91, that Maria Skłodowska did her first scientific work.

Kazimierz Żorawski in later life
At the beginning of 1890, Bronisława, who had a few months earlier married Kazimierz Dłuski, invited Maria to join them in Paris. Maria declined because she could not afford the university tuition and was still counting on marrying Kazimierz Żorawski. She returned home to her father, with whom she remained till the fall of 1891, tutoring, studying at the clandestine Floating University, and beginning her practical scientific training in a laboratory at the Museum of Industry and Agriculture run by her cousin Józef Boguski, who had been assistant in St. Petersburg to the great Russian chemist Dmitri Mendeleyev.[10]
In October 1891, at her sister's insistence and after receiving a letter from Żorawski definitively breaking up with her, she decided to go to France after all.[5]

Sorbonne
Skłodowska studied during the day, and she tutored evenings, barely earning her keep. In 1893 she obtained a degree in physics and began work in an industrial laboratory at Lippman's. Meanwhile she continued studying at the Sorbonne and in 1894 earned a degree in mathematics.

Pierre Curie
In the same year Pierre Curie entered her life. He was an instructor in the School of Physics and Chemistry, the École Supérieure de Physique et de Chimie Industrielles de la Ville de Paris (ESPCI). Skłodowska had begun her scientific career in Paris with an investigation of the magnetic properties of various steels; it was their mutual interest in magnetism that drew Skłodowska and Curie together.[13].
Her departure for the summer to Warsaw only enhanced their mutual feelings for each other. She was still laboring under the illusion that she would be able to return to Poland and work in her chosen field of study. When, however, she was denied a place at Kraków University merely because she was a woman,[14] she returned to Paris. Almost a year later, in July 1895, she and Pierre Curie married, and thereafter the two physicists hardly ever left their laboratory. Their shared hobbies were only long bicycle trips and journeys abroad, which brought them even closer. Maria had found a new love, a partner and scientific collaborator that she could depend on.[15]

Maya Angelou civil rights Martin Luther King

I believe we are still so innocent. The species are still so innocent
that a person who is apt to be murdered believes that the murderer, just before
he puts the final wrench on his throat, will have enough compassion to give him
one sweet cup of water.
Maya Angelou (b.1928) memoirist, poet, activist
Note her inspirational message to youth today and the hope that it contains. It breathes hope. Civil rights the steps to growth of the spirit. She blazoned the trail as a pioneer. Note her poem "A Kin d of Love Some Say" "Love By Nature Exacts A Pain Unequalled On the Rack". ("And Still I Rise")

http://www.mayaangelou.com/LongBio.html autobiographies and books from her website

Angelou has had a long and varied career, holding jobs such as fry cook,
dancer, actress, journalist, educator, television producer, and film director.
She was a member of the Harlem
Writers Guild
in the late 1950s. She was active in the Civil
Rights movement
, and served as Northern Coordinator of Dr. Martin
Luther King, Jr.'s
Southern
Christian Leadership Conference
. Angelou has been highly honored for her
body of work, including being awarded over 30 honorary degrees and the
nomination of a Pulitzer Prize for her
1971 volume of poetry, Just Give Me a Cool Drink of Water 'Fore I Diiie.[4]
Since the 1990s, she has had a busy career on the lecture circuit, making about
80 appearances a year. Since 1991, Angelou has taught at Wake Forest University
in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, as recipient of the first lifetime Reynolds
Professorship of American Studies. In 1993, she recited her poem "On the Pulse of
Morning
" at President Bill Clinton's
inauguration, the first poet to make an inaugural recitation since Robert
Frost
at John F. Kennedy's
inauguration in 1961. In 1995, she was recognized for having the longest-running
record (two years) on The New York Times
Paperback Nonfiction Bestseller List.
With the publication of I Know Why the
Caged Bird Sings, Angelou was heralded as a new kind of memoirist, one of the
first African American women who was able to publicly discuss her personal life.
She became recognized and highly respected as a spokesperson for blacks and
women. Angelou's use of fiction-writing techniques often result in the placement
of her books into the genre of autobiographical
fiction
, but they are better characterized as autobiographies.[5] Angelou has
made a deliberate attempt through her work to challenge the common structure of
the autobiography by critiquing, changing, and expanding the genre. Although her
books have been used extensively in the classroom, they have also been
challenged or banned in schools and libraries. Her books and poetry have covered
themes such as identity, family, and racism.

Young women, young men of color, we add our voices to the voices of your ancestors who speak to you over ancient seas and across impossible mountain tops.
Come up from the gloom of national neglect, you have already been paid for.
Come out of the shadow of irrational prejudice, you owe
no racial debt to history.
The blood of our bodies and the prayers of our souls have bought you a future
free from shame and bright beyond the telling of it.
We pledge ourselves and our resources to seek for you clean and well-furnished schools, safe and non-threatening streets, employment which makes use of your talents, but does not degrade your dignity.
You are the best we have.
You are all we have.
You are what we have become.
We pledge you our whole hearts from this day forward.

This link references my communication with Infinite light

This link references a tour with the Shamans to a valley no westerner has ever visited until now and this would serve to fulfill a 500 year prophecy. The tour was allowed and led by the "The yachaks told us there was a 500 year old prophesy that states when the Eagle of the North and the Condor of the South flew in the skies together, a greater equilibrium would exits for mankind. They asked if we could help fulfill this prophesy." It was to the valley of Llanganatis in the Amazon. Seemingly the shaman yachaks are intuitively aware of quantum physics that something can arise from nothingness and they are attuned to the other worlds the westerns are not yet privy too. Note the prophecies of the valley where western man had never been invited and only those in the yachak lineage/shamans knew of the recesses of this hidden special ,nay, mystical valley. When the time was right these yachak guardians would take westerners into the valley and reveal this to the world. The real healers are the ones who know the healings spring from the spontaneous touch of the spirit. Also in the last analysis, our thoughts create existence in thwe universe and healing as well.

The real shamans are unpredictable because they gain their energy form
their environment and from the here and now
. They never know how the spirit will
guide them so we genuinely do not know what will happen on our upcoming shamanic
mingo tour. Expect nothing and you are almost guaranteed to get something and
maybe….everything.
Here is Merri and me with a Taita Yatchak deep in the
sacred LLanganatis. They say anyone who goes in there dies from a stake in their
heart or goes mad. We found this not quite true. Though I assure you our hearts
were affected in the most profound ways. You can read about this trip at http://www.garyascott.com/archives/2003/03/27/792/
Perhaps this is how legends arise. Maybe in the LLanganatis your heart will
be destroyed to be born again! Or the mind will go mad from resisting the
evolution.
We will not make it to the LLanganatis on this tour, but we will be
with shamans and though we’ll be steeped in nothingness I surely expect our
hearts will soar.
We have found that shamans who ask “how much will you pay,”
or “what do you want me to do” are not the ones we want.
The real healers are
the ones who do not know what they will do and believe that the forces of nature
will care for them, so they let the greater powers decide how, how much and when
they are compensated and what they will do.
This should not be surprising.
Looking for nothing to find everything is suspiciously similar to what quantum
science suggests we should do.
Quantum physics indicates that all matter
springs from nothing, just energy or wavelengths and that reality manifests from
wavelengths in the mind and soul.

This science says illusions are solid. Reality is space. We are composed of molecules, small bits of something spinning around and separated by vast amounts of relative space. Yet molecules are not solid either. They are composed of atoms, even smaller bits spinning around and separated by vast amounts of relative space. Yet atoms are not solid either, but are composed of protons, electrons and neutrons, even smaller bits spinning in vast spaces. And these are composed of even smaller bits, muons, quarks of several spins, also spinning in vast spaces. Super string theory suggests that these bits are even tinier particles composed of smaller one dimensional strings of vibration that are the smallest bits which humanity has been able to conceive.
Where do all these tiniest super strings come from? Nothing but silence and space frozen in solid illusions from our observation, intention and consciousness. In short, our thoughts are the existence that creates the universe. This is the wonder of true quantum research and shamanism too.
The shamans get in touch with the nothingness to alter and heal. When they touch the infinite with their hearts and minds wonderful things happen to those with them. Healings and awakenings spring from their touch…no scalpels, pills or radiation required!
We’ll also visit the sacred Quicocha lake for a shamanic study and perhaps a ceremony

Merri and I know numerous Taita Yatchaks, Yatchaks, Shamans, Shamanas and Curanderos. You’ll learn which is which and we’ll visit a number of them. Here I am with Don Carlos, a Taita Yatchak.
