Solvay conference instein and Currie

Skłodowska studied during the day, and she tutored evenings,
barely earning her keep. In 1893 she obtained a degree in physics and began work
in an industrial laboratory at Lippman's. Meanwhile she continued studying at
the Sorbonne and in 1894 earned a degree in mathematics.




The Solvay Institutes for physics and chemistry located in Brussels was founded by Ernest Solvay in 1912 following the historic only 1911 Conseil Solvay the first world physics conference. Conferences, workshops, seminars and colloquia were given. The young Einstein attended this as well as Marie Curie. In the 1st conference two approaches were recognized, classical and quantum physics. Henri Poincare was present. During the 5th conference newly formulated quantum theory was discussed and Einstein debunked Heisenberg's Uncertainty Principle. "God does not play dice" he stated. Niels Bohr replied "Stop telling God what to do." Seventeen of the 29 attendees would be Nobel Prize winners.The 7th conference ended in 1933. Paul Langevin chairecd #6. These topics seemed to be "in embryo" later to experience a burgeoning understanding,especially quantum mechanics.

Pierre
Curie

In the same year Pierre Curie entered her
life. He was an instructor in the School of Physics and Chemistry, the École
Supérieure de Physique et de Chimie Industrielles de la Ville de Paris

(ESPCI). Skłodowska had begun her scientific career in Paris with an
investigation of the magnetic properties of various steels; it was their mutual
interest in magnetism that drew Skłodowska
and Curie together.[13].
Her
departure for the summer to Warsaw only enhanced their mutual feelings for each
other. She was still laboring under the illusion that she would be able to
return to Poland and work in her chosen field of study. When, however, she was
denied a place at Kraków
University
merely because she was a woman,[14] she
returned to Paris. Almost a year later, in July 1895, she and Pierre Curie
married, and thereafter the two physicists hardly ever left their laboratory.
Their shared hobbies were only long bicycle trips and journeys abroad, which
brought them even closer. Maria had found a new love, a partner and scientific
collaborator that she could depend on.[15]
In 1903, the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences awarded Pierre Curie, Marie Curie, and Henri Becquerel the Nobel Prize in Physics, "in recognition of the extraordinary services they have rendered by their joint researches on the radiation phenomena discovered by Professor Henri Becquerel."
Maria and Pierre were unable to go to Stockholm to receive the prize in person, but they shared its financial proceeds with needy acquaintances, including students.[15]
On receiving the Nobel Prize, Marie and Pierre Curie suddenly became very famous. The Sorbonne gave Pierre a professorship and permitted him to establish his own laboratory, in which Marie became director of research.
In 1897 and 1904, respectively, Marie gave birth to their daughters, Irène and Eve Curie. She would later hire Polish governesses to teach them her native language, and send or take them on visits to Poland.[28]

Skłodowska–Curie was the first woman to be awarded a Nobel Prize. Eight years later, she would receive the 1911 Nobel Prize in Chemistry, "in recognition of her services to the advancement of chemistry by the discovery of the elements radium and polonium, by the isolation of radium and the study of the nature and compounds of this remarkable element."
A month after accepting her 1911 Nobel Prize, she was hospitalized with depression and a kidney ailment.
Skłodowska–Curie was the first person to win or share two Nobel Prizes. She is one of only two people who have been awarded a Nobel Prize in two different fields, the other being Linus Pauling (Chemistry, Peace). Nevertheless in 1911 the French Academy of Sciences refused to abandon its prejudice against women and she failed by two votes to be elected to membership, losing to Édouard Branly, an inventor who had helped Guglielmo Marconi develop the wireless telegraph.[29] It would be her doctoral student, Marguerite Perey, who would be the first woman elected to the Academy — in 1962, over half a century later.

The International Solvay Institutes for Physics and Chemistry, located in Brussels, were founded by the Belgian industrialist Ernest Solvay in 1912, following the historic invitation-only 1911 Conseil Solvay, the first world physics conference. The Institutes coordinate conferences, workshops, seminars, and colloquia.
Following the initial success of 1911, the Solvay Conferences (Conseils Solvay) have been devoted to outstanding preeminent open problems in both physics and chemistry. The usual schedule is every three years, but there have been larger gaps.

First conference
Hendrik A. Lorentz was chairman of the first Solvay Conference held in Brussels in the autumn of 1911. The subject was Radiation and the Quanta. This conference looked at the problems of having two approaches, namely the classical physics and quantum theory. Albert Einstein was the youngest physicist present. Other members of the Solvay Congress included such luminaries as Marie Skłodowska-Curie and Henri Poincaré. (See image for attendee list.)







Fifth conference
Perhaps the most famous conference was the October 1927 Fifth Solvay International Conference on
Electrons and Photons, where the world's most notable physicists met to discuss the newly formulated quantum theory. The leading figures were Albert Einstein and Niels Bohr. Einstein, disenchanted with Heisenberg's "Uncertainty Principle," remarked "God does not play dice." Bohr replied, "Einstein, stop telling God what to do." (See Bohr-Einstein debates.) Seventeen of the twenty-nine attendees were or became Nobel Prize winners, including Marie Curie, who alone among them, had won Nobel Prizes in two separate scientific disciplines.

The ascended Masters Video presentations


Opening of the chakras and the union of the inner cosciousness with the oputer consciousness indicates a oneness with universal laws without physical limitation. This is the goal of kabbalistic studies, most probably and the learning process is by the service of the ascended masters to mankind.Tutoring by the soul attaching to a mentor from the higher worlds returning ibbur ha gilgulim has been alluded to in previous posts.

In my next post #3 on the Masters I will further elucidate Bulwer Lytton's writings and also Leadbeater's book, but more of that later. Note also the Great White Brotherhood as well.





Helena Petrovna Blavatsky, founder of the
Theosophical Society, was a huge Bulwer-Lytton fan and may have decided he was
presenting true facts, disguised as fiction. Or she may have gotten the concept
of the Masters from her correspondence with the Hermetic Brotherhood of Luxor, a
mystic lodge which offered a correspondence course in esoteric doctrine
.
Blavatsky brought attention to the existence of ascended spiritual leaders
through her activities which included channelling messages from beings she
called "Mahatmas", especially her spirit guide "Koot Hoomi" or "Kuthumi."
From these beginnings, her successors in the Theosophical Society
leadership, Annie Besant and especially Charles W. Leadbeater, developed the
mythology of Ascended Masters, and fleshed out many of their alleged biographies
and past lives. Leadbeater's 1925 book, The Masters and the Path, marked the
crystalization of the lore
that had accumulated around the concept of Ascended
Masters into a published, public form.
Belief in ascended masters is also
found among the followers of the I AM movement, the Temple of the Presence, and
Elizabeth Clare Prophet's Church Universal and Triumphant. The occult
organization, Servants of the Light, claim to have contact with an ascended
master. Many New Age channelers routinely talk about the Masters, taking it as
given that they exist.

Ascended Masters Blavatsky Theosophy










The stories of the epochs of the masters attaining enlightenment and ascension are fairly well known. They may well be the guardians of many of us unbeknownst to us who raise us to a higher level of awareness and we evolve in a series of stages and have done so through out history through ibbur ha gilgulim (see my previous posts on this subject written of in the writings of Helena Blavatsky, Isaac Luria Ashkenazi through his scribe Chaim Vital ,similar to what the Theosophists call reincarnation and this was written of by Edgar Cayce as well.


These masters serve mankind as they undergo transformation and are often unrecognizable from what they formerly appeared on the earth plane. Jesus was not recognized at first in his post resurrection state at first. Note Luke 22 and The Road to Emmaus scenario. He then revealed Himself to his followers at a later time.
They are likened to the Bodhissatvas of Buddhism, the Catholic Saints such as Francis.

Edward Bulwer Lytton in THE COMING RACE posited the existence of nine unknown men




One definition of an ascended master is an individual who has undergone the
process of ascension. Throughout history, there have been stories of these
individuals who have reached a higher state of spiritual awareness and placed
themselves in service to humanity. One concept of an ascended master derives
from the teachings of Theosophy.
In Theosophy, and various descendants and
offshoots of theosophy, ascended masters are a group of spiritually enlightened
beings, once mere mortals, who have undergone a process of spiritual
transformation.
According to these teachings, they remain attentive to the
spiritual needs of humanity, and act as superintendents of its spiritual growth.
In this, they can be compared to the Great White Brotherhood or Secret Chiefs
who are posited by various magical organizations; and more remotely, to the
bodhisattvas of Buddhism, or the saints of Catholic and Orthodox Christianity.
The term may actually have originated with Edward Bulwer-Lytton, who in his
satirical book The Coming Race posited the existence of "Nine Unknown Men" who
secretly run things in the world.
